ATTY. ERIC D. HIMAN
Born to a retired Air Force soldier, Lt. Dennis O. Himan, and a teacher, Mrs. Azucena D. Himan and raised in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, Philippines, Atty .Eric Himan graduated with an A.B. Economics degree from the University of Sto.Thomas in 1990 and received his B.S Law degree from University of the East in 1996. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1997.
Atty. Himan worked as a Legislative Staff Officer 6 at the Committee on Economic Affairs of the House of Representatives and served as a Technical Legislative Researcher at the Congressional/Political Consultants Ass. and Co., from 1996-1997. Before working in Congress, however, he served as an Analyst for International Banking Division of Philippine Banking Corporation (1990-1991) and Legal Assistant of Sua and Alambra Law Office (1995-1996). Thereafter, he became an associate lawyer of Go Cojuangco Mendoza Ligon and Castro Law Offices (September 1997-June 1998) and Santiago, Sarte and Associates Law Offices (June 1998 - November 1998). In December 1998, he got into private practice and decided to establish his own firm, HIMAN AND ASSOCIATES LAW OFFICE
Atty. Himan specializes in corporate law and litigation. He currently serves as a professional consultant and director in various companies based in Makati and Ortigas. He is likewise active in civil, labor, commercial, criminal and administrative law. He also handles Immigration cases such as application for Visa under Philippine Immigration Law, Special Investor's Resident Visa (SIRV) under Executive Order 226 otherwise known as Investment Code of 1997.
Atty. Himan is likewise extremely active in socio-civic organizations. His heart for public service has been recently exemplified when he joined Child Justice League, Inc. as a volunteer lawyer to defend the cause of abused children.
A member of the Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity, and has been President-Artlets Economics Society (1989-1990), Academic Committee Member-Artlets Economic Society (1988-1989), Admission Committee Chairman-Knights of Columbus#7884 (1990), Inside Guard-Knights of Columbus#7884 (1987), Member-Legion of Mary (1989-1990), Member-Student Organization Coordinating Council (1989-1990), Member-Junior Philippine Economic Society (1988-1990), Member-Community Achievers Organization (1988), Member-Students Democratic Party (1986-1990) and Member-AB Freshmen Sophomore Society (1986-1988).
His well-rounded personality is manifested by his interest in various fields other than law for he is also a columnist/writer of Food & Beverage Magazine, a golfer, a photographer and a certified Master Scuba Diver of the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI).
He is married to Maria Ida Credo-Himan of Tiwi, Albay who is also a lawyer by profession and they have a one-year old son Ysrael.
